Your favourite camp FUKC* (when it’s cold, and late, and all you want is a toasty and some hot tea in the middle of the night) is inviting you to get pickling! 

*FUKC - Free Use Kitchen Camp is a theme camp at Britains biggest Burning Man co-created community Event, Burning Nest.

Paulina will guide us through the process to prepare some perfect pickles and learn about the process, the overlap, and differences between the pickling and fermenting, and how to make it safe! As a spicy bonus William will be giving an overview of Kimchi creation and a short intro to keeping a pet sourdough!

What do I need? 👩🏻‍🍳🧑🏾‍🍳👨🏼‍🍳

We'll be providing the Vegetables, Vinegars, and other vital things for delicious pickling, but if you want to walk away with

So, things to bring...

Essential:

🫙 A Clean Jar or two with a tight fitting lid (yay, recycling!)

🔪 A good Kitchen Knife (safely wrapped for transport)

Non-Essential:

🧄 Seasonal Forages to find out if they can be pickled or fermented, especially wild garlic because William is mad for it!

🪵 A light Chopping Board, only if it's easy, we'll have a good few to share anyway

At the end...
